Sorry that I can't figure out yet how to...

Make the font smaller in my very first posting!

After 10 years, it's really happening!

Annabelle is Coming! On June 6th, 1999 I sat on my favorite beach on Siesta Key and quickly wrote out, what eventually became "the first draft" of Annabelle from Sanibel.

The idea was to do a collection of children's books, in rhyme...26 in all, beginning with A, then B, etc.

Annabelle flew from brain to pen to legal pad. I flipped a page and wrote: B

Then it hit me! Yellow Pad stage fright?? Nothing came out of my brain!

I flipped another page and wrote: C

oh.....forget it! I kept flipping till I got to M, and suddenly Mr. Milton From Wilton came pouring out, but slower than Annabelle.

He's still sitting in my bottom drawer, but.......Annabelle has gone through many stages of sitting, prodding, erasures and now finally is nearing completion on my publisher's press!

Those of you who have been following Annabelle's journey from legal pad to book on the shelf know of the trials and changes that she's gone through in ten (!) years! No wonder many writers plead poverty! If it takes 10 years for a simple children's book, you could starve to death creating a REAL masterpiece!
